Blog #9- I had to find out for myself!

I had to find out for myself!             After reading this book I was completely inspired to get on Reddit! To be able to have a community where you can just see what you are interested in sounded very appealing, so I decided to get on the website and try it out for myself. The book talks about specific communities, or forums, where the user can integrate themselves or be an outsider looking in, and I loved being able to search everything! It really is extremely user friendly and easy to manage. I will also note that it is very easy to stay on the website for a long period of time, as you continue to find more things that interest you.              When first going to Reddit I found the website extremely easy to navigate. The topics that are trending were all listed on the home page and I was able to decide what looked most intriguing to me from there. There was anything from Dutch police giving teddy bears to car crash victims, pet pictures and the Russi

Blog #8- How do sports fall into this?

How do sports fall into this? Political participation and the divide that has occurred throughout the past couple of years has dramatically increased, this could be due to a lot of factors, but I believe the strong beliefs regarding President Trump is a huge part. Whether people agree or disagree with him, I have noticed, at least through my own social media, that people are more willing to expose their beliefs to a wider audience. While political participation can stem from watching, hearing or reading about politic

Blog #7- Wait, What was Her Point Again?

Wait, What was Her Point Again?             Although I enjoyed the idea of Habit + Crisis = Update, and to an extend I do agree, I could not move past the endless amount of unnecessary information.   Chun consistently went on tangents and gave examples that, in my opinion, had nothing to do with what she was discussing. She wanted to further explain her ideas, or more generally, other peoples thoughts/findings, and by doing so she was constantly referring back to other people and giving examples that did not flow well. It seemed that she truly believes the more scholars you reference in a novel the better it will be, and I do not agree whatsoever.             I will say that Chun gave better examples at the beginnings of her specific chapters. Those made sense to her points, gave good clarification on what was to come, and did an overall good job at getting her point across. I think that if she were to cut out all the random samples/ideas/believes/theories/etc. sh
